Becoming friends in 2020, molecular mycologists Ressa and Corinne knew they could bring more to the world of fungi and those that want to research it.
As a plant-based foodie with a passion for microbes both outside and inside in the kitchen, the idea to improve mushrooms spawned in Corinne’s mind.
With Ressa’s experience in a food biotechnology start-up and a personal ambition to improve global food security, the teaming made more than perfect sense.
mushroom+ was formed in 2025 and germinated in the Carbon13 venture builder ecosystem where it is growing into a deep-tech platform to tackle environmental and economic issues around food production
